-alcohol (even if its just beers)

-you can even make it unique and make your own flavored water with real fruits

I am havin a bbq for about the same amount of people this summer too. I am planning doing ribs in the oven to keep my grill clear and make it easy to mingle while food is cooking.

My ribs: The morning before, or sooner, pre-boil for about an hour - cover ribs in water, season with salt, peppercorns, garlic/onion to taste, pour some beer in there too if you want. After pre-boil, marinade for at least a day. If you are doing this way in advance, you can put the boiled ribs, sauce and water to cover in ziplock bags and freeze them until the morning of the day before the party and then defrost them. Cook them in the oven low and slow - like 350 for eight hours. You can get them done like a half hour before guests arrive and set your oven to ';warm'; which is like 150 degrees if your oven doesn't have a warm setting. Your grill is free to do other things and your main meat is handled while you are free to mingle.

Shrimp on the grill is super easy. Make a foil pouch (while, you will need several of these) and put jumbo shrimp in there, along with lemon juice and lime juice and tequila (make some w/o tequila too for the kids and the DD's) and throw that one the grill. It's easy to tell they are done - they look done and they smell awesome.

Kabobs are also a great idea! Ice chests with lots of different sodas, water and beer if you choose.

Corn on the cob is also easy on the grill - melt butter, season the melted butter with some salt and garlic and brush that one the corn. Put corn back in the husk and wrap in foil and throw on the grill.
I do this all the time in the summer!

I do hamburgers and hot dogs, and then have some salads, like potato and a a tomato salad and then someone will bring a green salad. Then for desserts, keep it simple! I do ice cream for the kids, and coffee with cookies for the adults, and fruit salad for everyone!

I also do a pan of sausage and peppers. NO ONE has complained yet, and EVERYONE leaves full! I've also done pastries for adults with the cookies. I also buy the bags of the chicken wings from Costco and warm them up in the oven and serve them, everyone is stuffed by the time they leave.

Make sure to have soda and water, make sure to have a diet soda too for those that drink diet, and something for the kids to drink. That's it, keep it simple and everyone will have a GREAT time! You can do corn if you want, but with that many people, it gets to be too much and I stick to the basics and no one complains or has said anything in all these years I've been doing my barbeques.

Good luck and I hope you have fun and enjoy!
Kabobs, you can do 10 veggie kabobs and 10 steak and 10 chicken, you can prep it the night before and your ready to go the next day. Maybe a large potato salad or bushes baked beans, don't forget the hawaiian rolls!
Pick a couple of dishes from each category on this menu: http://www.recipe4living.com/articles/en鈥?/a>
What about a few types of Kabobs-- All premade and marinated--

It can be done ahead of time-- (and there for do not have to worry about hotdogs burning or how well they want their burger cooked)
