Talk to her about other topics, make small talk.
Keep her in that frame of mind.
Make wisecracks to get her to smile and loosen up while you are shooting.
Say something upsetting to p*ss her off out of the blue.
Explain to her that you just did it to get her true emotions.Can you give me some tips/ advice for taking artistic photos of people?
hmmm....im not a photographer...but i may be able to help....
start off asking her to look sad/happy/in thought without the camera pointed at her...
i personally (and many others) find shots with the ppl looking somewhere else than the camera very artistic and gorgeous. try that.
