For All You People That Ask For Medical Advice?
Do you really take advice from people on here instead of going to the doctor? For All You People That Ask For Medical Advice?
my thought`s exactly, maybe some do not have insurance as we in Canada, vote Democrat and you may get it too!!!!For All You People That Ask For Medical Advice?
We get others' real life experience and then seek out medical attention. Sometimes doctors miss things and you, the patient, have to be pro-active. If I had not been pro-active my son may not be alive today.
i ask quetions here then i might go to the doctor
It's called an opinion! read it, process it, digest it, and decide which is the best course of action to take!prescriptives

Why do these people call in the Hotel Inspector when they ignore her advice?
The lady tonight is particulary stubborn. bulldog chewing a wasp springs to mind. Maybe she needs to go on a customer service training course - what do you think??Why do these people call in the Hotel Inspector when they ignore her advice?
This is what I wonder about these programs, its the same on gordon ramsey. Im sure these people do it to just get on tv and make some easy money from publicity, instead of working hard to get their hotels to be successful. Why do these people call in the Hotel Inspector when they ignore her advice?
I wonder if people expect the inspector to turn up and say ';Wow, this place is great....don't change a thing!'; not ';have you ever thought of cleaning the rooms?';
You've got that right! In my experience, when people ask for ';advice'; - what they really want is for everyone to agree with them!
For the same reason as they call Gordon Ramsay in Kitchen Nightmares. They want to be on the telly!!
SHE SURE DOES

What advice do give your kids about making friends and trusting other people?
my parents didn't give me much advise, all that i can remember is that my mom would say that you can't really trust too many people.
what advice have you been told? and what advice would you give? What advice do give your kids about making friends and trusting other people?
That a real friend will not care about material things and will take you as you are. To respect others and treat people as you would like to be treated.
I have taught my kids that EVERYONE is different and that some of our differences are more noticable than others so to never ridicule another person for their differences.
Acceptance and Empathy. What advice do give your kids about making friends and trusting other people?
I tell my kids that your lucky to get one to just a few true friends through your whole life. People will use you and back stab you. You can forgive these people and not have to put yourself back in the same place with them. You live and learn. Also if I know someone if flat out trouble I will forbid them being around these people. This is my job as a parent. Hold on to the good true friends you get! Like I said you won't get many. Live and learn. You can give someone more than one shot but people are who they are and it is my experience that if they do you wrong more than twice you just have to forgive and cut ties.
my mom just said to stay away from the ppl you see getting in trouble a lot, the snobby ppl, and get to know the person before you trust them. I think it is just common sense to know this stuff but I do agree that parents really don't say anything..... until there is problems.
just trust your instinct, or the child's instinct. you will feel if the person is true or not. and be brave to say no or i dont like if you feel somethings not right.
that real friends are the ones who accept you and like you for who you are and you dont have to put on an act..
and that goes for relationships too.
My kids are both grown but when they were growing up since I have two girls I warned them both about boys thinking with their things instead of their brains. I also told them that they should never do anything that would lessen their pride in themselves. I stressed this over and over again as they were growing up and luckly both are collage grads and my youngest just got her Masters so it seems too have done the trick. The other thing that they always knew was that my love was unconditional but my respect was earned.

How do i approach her? I need your good advice people....?
Theres a girl who works in a different deparment from me who i think is very nice, she smiles at me when we pass each other. Can i just approach her and ask her for a date there and then or ask for her number first? How do i approach her? I need your good advice people....?
just go up to her and ask her if she would like to have a meal with you. Its as easy as thatHow do i approach her? I need your good advice people....?
BE BIG AND ASK HER FOR A DATE AND HER NUMBER
can you use work as an excuse to email or phone her? get chatting and then ask for her number (find out if she is single first!!!!). When you have her number you can text or call her outside of work where you both will feel more comfortable, rather than snatched minutes in a corridor! good luck!
She only smiles cos word in the office is, youve got bad breath and shes just trying not to breathe in around you.
Oh and she knows about your Gay affair with the cleaner.
Love Jack. (human Resourses)
ask her on a date! lifes a highway u hoe. hnhahahah j.k buty ask her dude!
It sounds as if your a little shy, that's OK . the fact that she has not spoken to you may mean she is too. Do you know of any thing she likes like a certain type of food , a book she is reading ( these things can be observed in the break area ). If you did you could start a conversation based on these materials and ease into getting to know one another. creating a relationship based on friend ship first before becoming romantically involved is more practical than jumping the gun like in your thought process. Good luck
If you are not sure... Ask her and a few other co workers to go out for lunch... Get to know her more
Either try springing up some spontanious random conversation first.... she might just be smiling out of politeness and this will see if she is ready to bight the cherry. Ask her if she had a good crimbo or something. Then you should ask her on the second occasion if she would like a nice little tipple round the most expensive bars in town.
OR, approach her from behind very quietly (maybe wearing slippers) and this way she will be vulnerable to attack!
just ask her on the darn date. asking for her number is like breaking up over the phone. not kool. just ask her out.
now as i'm talking
go
go
go
i got ur back
Neither.
Try saying hi and talking with her. Keep the flirting to a minium and no asking her out or anthing for a little while. Most women do not get jobs to find mates. Like going to the gym women are looking for areas in their live with out guys approaching them (guys women are not at the gym to be drooled on! lol I say that cause it is amazing how many sweaty guys approach women in gyms).
Be friends and after she is comfortable with you then you can ask her for her number or to lunch or something.
do not ask her for anything but help if needed. The worst thing that you can do is start talking to soemone at your place of work. That is if you value your job. If you happen to see her outside of work than this is different %26amp; I say go for it yet you're still going to be jepordizing your job.
talk to her some first then ask for her number, she probably thinks ur sexy too
Mayb first you could get her email address or something if not then yea jus ask her for her number next time you pass each other and you can arrange a date from there, or start up conversation while you are at work and get more friendly with her first. xx
well if you guys have never talked before, i suggest getting to know her and try talking to her first, then after a couple days perhaps, you could ask her for her number or ask her out, i honestly would be a little uncomfortable having someone i didn't know, ask me out

Advice from people who have gotten tragus piercings.?
I want to get a tragus piercing today maybe and I was wondering if it hurts. Be honest, because someone told me that getting a middle cartilage piercing didnt hurt, but i beg to differ. What did you think of getting your tragus pierced?Advice from people who have gotten tragus piercings.?
Pain will vary from person to person. Mine didn't hurt at all. I barely even felt a pinch while it was being pierced, and it didn't bother me once during healing.Advice from people who have gotten tragus piercings.?
It's really sore for a couple of weeks, or at least mine was. Getting it was pretty painful as well, but taking some ibuprofin or advil before getting it done definitely helped.
=] Good luck if you decide to get it done! It'll look awesome.
to be honest it really doesn't hurt they'll ice it out and believe them there professionals so trust them it will only hurt if you think it will
it depends on your pain tolerance....people told me navel piercings didnt hurt and that has been my most painful piercing!
but for me my tragus didnt really hurt...just a lot of pressure...but its a ****** to heal
Its gonna hurt a little, cause of where the piercing is! But my mates have theirs done and they said its over really quick.. And looks really good so go for it :)

Why do people take advice from people completely unsuited to give it?
.Why do people take advice from people completely unsuited to give it?
Some People need advice and they will take it from anybody they can..Sounds crazy doesn't it..But that's how it is sometimes. Why do people take advice from people completely unsuited to give it?
Alot of times the truth hurts and it's easier to go with advice that propels the individual away from the truth rather than accept the truth to begin with.
They are looking for the answer they want to hear ... and will keep looking until they get it.
-MM
to make themselves feel better.
You are asking this question here? I guess you more than anyone would know the answer.
They will take advice from anyone who is telling them what they wanted to hear in the first place.
Because that is usually the person who will tell them what they want to hear....
They are Grasping. Most of them thought they may read all answers, only pick out the answers they really want to hear. It's kinda of like taking a survey to see if they themselves are right.
It's a fault of human nature, and we're programmed by a barrage of advertising to accept such ';unsuited advice';.
Usually because that advice agrees with the course of behavior the advice seeker has already decided upon.
I feel you on this one.
some of the stupid answers to the piercing questions just asttound me. Someone actually suggested using RUBBING ALCOHOL to clean a piercing. I'm just sitting here thinking, ';yea, and maybe piss will work too';
i have been piercing for 4 years (not including my apprenticeship)
i keep up to date with new methods of care and peircing. i do all my stuff freehand to reduce the risk of infection.
point being: i know my s*it.
and yet the 13 year old whos mom did hers the basement gets the best answer.
I guess it just goes to show you that nothing can replace good old fashioned research. the kind you do yourself.
The people qualified to answer questions usually are self-important neckbeards that smell bad.prescriptives

Successful business people - what is your one piece of advice?
What is your one piece of advice for those who are moving their way up in a company. What one thing has added to your success?Successful business people - what is your one piece of advice?
Luck will be one of the biggest determinants of your success. If you fail, you can't take it personally. Sometimes luck is not on your side..Successful business people - what is your one piece of advice?
Listen to people. I have recently met several investors looking at my company in a next series of funding - one thing I have noticed they do is speak very little and listen to everyone. They don't care small or big, no title or major title, they listen to your story or angle and make their decisions accordingly.
In a similar fashion, one thing is similar to my story is that I try to empathize with everyone. A product changes hands many many different times, and I try to understand each person that my product interacts with. Understanding the end-user is not my goal, I need to understand how my product interacts with everyone and make their life a little easier. ';Walk a mile in their shoes'; is an old adage which still holds true today. Sometimes something really really indirect makes the difference of getting your product sold over another company's.
suck up to the boss... lots

What advice would you give to old people who wants to be young at heart?
2 advices. Word limit- 100 to 150 words. What advice would you give to old people who wants to be young at heart?
Live!!! Love and laugh!!! Life if way to short to not enjoy the last days to the fullest.....
And dance like you've missed the opportunity in your youth!!!
your sister,
GingerWhat advice would you give to old people who wants to be young at heart?
I would say....Would your rather have wisdom or youth? In our youth we are naive and make mistakes through our inexperience.
Then, I would say....Since you can not be young any more and those twenty something days are gone, you might as well grow up because the clock keeps ticking. Do not be complacent, everything must grow. The butterfly was an ugly catipillar before is shed its cacoon. Do you want to wake up some day thinking your are twenty and living like you are twenty-in your parents house, off their income, and on the road to no where?
just enjoy your life and make the most of it!! smile and be contented on what you are or what you have now. be a a generous person to others who needs help and never ever forget the guidance of God!
Just tell them this.. they will realize that they arent living for ever..
If the geological time of earth was translated in to a 24 hr clock starting at midnite.. at 12 noon came the existence of oxygen.. at 4pm came life of creatures such as dinasaurs etc... at 11:59 and 57 seconds came the existance of humans!!!! we have only been in existance for 3 seconds if compared to the geological time.. so a human life is equivalent to litterally zero time.. :(
Tell him no one remains young.. everyone dies fast.. really fast!
1. Do what's good for the body : work out, eat healthy, etc
2. Do what's good for the soul : pray, do charity work, be nice, etc.
Do you own homework. Tell the old people to get a heart transplant. Stop cheating.

Does it annoy you when people complain to you but won't take your advice and keep complaining?
Like I don't mind people telling me their problems but when you offer them advice and they ignore it but keep complaining about the same thing and do nothing about the problem to solve it.
Does that annoy you too? If so,what do you do about it?Does it annoy you when people complain to you but won't take your advice and keep complaining?
Yes!!!
Next time, ask the person if they want some cheese with that whine.Does it annoy you when people complain to you but won't take your advice and keep complaining?
YES it does. But i mean im only here to help them, they take it good for them if they don't well then they have to do something else. I mean my friend sometimes takes my advice but when she doesn't it proves i was right so yeah its pretty annoying. Next time just be like okay im going to give you my advice you take it good if you don't i don't want to keep hearing the complaning you can talk to someone else. Haha i know that sounds mean so maybe tune it down but honeslt you have to let people now its annoying or that they shouldn't complain to you if they wont take the advice. Thats what i do. Just like when a teacher gives you a lesson and you don't listen and then your there after asking what it was about..why didn't you listen in the first place? you get me? haha. Good lUck!
It does indeed annoy me. Depending on the problem, I might cut them off from ranting. Seriously. ';Listen, you know I love you, but it's very frustrating hearing you complain about this problem when you don't do anything proactive to fix it, especially when I keep giving you advice. Complaining about this problem to me is now off-limits.';
well i tell them they can leason and try to fix there problem but if they don't try no one can help and if u are not trying no one wants to here about it any more we get sick of it u got to try to help your self we can just try to send u the right way to help your self but u don't try no one can help you
yes u get sick of hearing the same thing when they are not trying to help there self.
telling them how u feel some times makes them see the hole thing thats going on good luck u need it if they are not caring but asking for help don't ask if u don't want help i tell them
absolutely.
sometimes when someone ask me for advice on something, i tell them and they end up either completely ignoring the advice, or continue to whine at me and tell me that my advice will not work
and then i will say ';then why the f*** did you ask me for advice??';
if this happens more than once, next time the person asks you for advice tell her?him that wats the point of me giving you advice if you're not gonna take it???
The person could just be venting. Sometimes people want someone to just listen to them about a problem and not want advice. If they want advice, they'll let you know. Or better yet, ask them if they want your advice.
It depends.
If the advice is something that they know won't work then they haven't had their problem fixed. Just because they get advice doesn't mean it's good advice or that they should take it.
just try to listen first...if they're done then let it rip....: )
Just like when a teacher gives you a lesson and you don't listen and then your there after asking what it was about..why didn't you listen in the first place? you get me? haha. Good lUck!
It does indeed annoy me. Depending on the problem, I might cut them off from ranting. Seriously. ';Listen, you know I love you, but it's very frustrating hearing you complain about this problem when you don't do anything proactive to fix it, especially when I keep giving you advice. Complaining about this problem to me is now off-limits.';

I need advice from people who have had experience in dying hair!?
Well i have a light brown hair color and i dyed it to a light blond and now its growing out and it looks bad. Everyone says ill look good with dark hair and i have always wanted chocolate brown color hair, but considering i also straighten my hair alot its very damaged so im scared to dye it. My question was am i able to go to a salon and dye my hair then get a deep conditioning treatment to help with the damage? ps im also gonna get a hair cut to help with the dead ends.I need advice from people who have had experience in dying hair!?
Kayla call a salon in your area and talk to them about coloring your hair back. Please don't try doing it yourself. Once you've bleached hair out it's very porous and will ';soak'; up color and could turn out very muddy looking.I need advice from people who have had experience in dying hair!?
Why not. Dyeing hair is damaging but not as damaging as bleach is, which is what that blonde 'dye' was. Get a malibu treatment.

Why do we ask people for advice?
?Why do we ask people for advice?
I love that I have three friends.. one person birthday is the day before mine and the other the day after mine..
Which it makes for a nice different opinion.. Since we all have history that makes us think differently and project things differently.. So, by asking them for their opinion.. I get a full aspect of the problem.. Even sometimes giving me points that I didn't even think of.. Its much cheaper then the therapist.

How do yout tell people who really matter to you and who want your help, advice, and attention no?
I am a sophomore in college in the honors program. I am on an academic scholarship that requires me to maintain a 3.0 overall average. I am editor of a newsletter put out by the office in which I work and I am on the public relations committee for one of the organizations on campus. I edit papers for my friends and I am always the one everyone goes to with a problem, which usually means dropping everything I'm doing for at least an hour and usually a whole lot longer. I have three papers, a portfolio project, a chapter exam and two final exams, one of which requires that I outline ten essay questions beforehand, due within the next ten days. How do I tell work, the PR committee, and my friends that I need to focus on myself and my work right now, without sounding like a complete psycho? How do yout tell people who really matter to you and who want your help, advice, and attention no?
The first person you need to talk to first is yourself. You may have the gift of multi-tasking which allows you to not think about having someone in your life. To take on so many tasks that require direct attention is a recipe for distraction. You are a person of action. Those that approach know that. People are lazy and will use who ever they observe doing things they should be doing. You have a few more years to go so do not over complicate your experience with getting caught up in others mis- guided views. Eye contact is a strong tamer with persons you need not be coy but direct as in. example...Jessy I am really bogged down here and barely have my head above water. If this is not a pressing life and death thing I will take a look at this matter later on tonight or tomorrow....if you could give me a hand I could %26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt; redirect responsibilities...some people seek out action persons....so keep in mind....nothing is impossible as long as you know when to pull back the reins.....Buck up you bring ciaos and you know it. Try to focus on your true goal and continue to help others when you can. A true friend simply says...I am just over whelmed at this moment....and then give them a different time. remember to give yourself time you are in charge of your own schedule......not others...how did you have time for even asking this question.....???How do yout tell people who really matter to you and who want your help, advice, and attention no?
Very simple ie...
I enjoy being there for you guys, and I love you lots, but right now I need sometime to make sure i'm okay. After all that's what i'm in school for in the first place.
They should understand, and if not maby you should change the circle that you hang around.
I don't think you would sound like a ';complete psycho'; unless you went into a screaming fit about it.
Everyone needs time for themselves at one point or another. Just calmly explain that you are presently in a position where other things need to take priority. It's not that you don't WANT to help them, but you would appreciate it if just this once they would find another way to accomplish their goals. You cannot allow yourself to become over-burdened because then EVERYONE'S project (including yours) will suffer.
If these people care anything about YOU, they will understand. If they DON'T understand chances are they were just using you, and who wants that kind of people in their lives anyway?
As far as telling your boss goes.......Good Luck with that!
Carefully.
setting boundaries shouldn't make you sound psycho....just lay it out like you did in your question.....and i would suggest if you're editing papers for friends that you start charging for your services!!
tell them that you'd love to help them but right now school comes first and you need to maintain a certain grade to keep your scholarship. if they don't understand they aren't your friends... and if it isn't your responsibility at work or on the committee (you don't get paid for that particular job) then tell them I'm sorry i have a lot of school work to do... if it can wait i can help in two weeks when I'm done completing my necessary assignments...

Why is ~Jordan S~ so rude to people who simply want some advice?
her and a whole lot of other people are always bashing me when I ask questions about breeding my cockapoo. Why does she do this? Why is ~Jordan S~ so rude to people who simply want some advice?
I don't think that person is rude, just truthful.
A cockapoo is a mutt, and mutts should not be bred. (Most purebreds aren't of high enough quality to be bred either.)
Here's an easy way to evaluate if you should ever CONSIDER breeding your dogs: http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c219/s鈥?/a>
There is a lot more to breeding than just sticking two dogs together. The following website is great (although some of the links are broken, the information that is there is very good).
http://www.learntobreed.com/
Especially read the story of Bliss the boxer: http://www.geocities.com/learntobreed/bl鈥?/a>
Also, a few more questions (there are many many more, this is just the tip of the iceberg!):
- Is the dog purebred?
- Is/are the dog(s)AKC registered, or your countries equivalent? (Not Contenential Kennel Club, APRI, or any other of those non-legit/non-reputable/scam registries)
- Is the dog over 2 years old?
- What is the dog(s) pedigree like?
- Are you planning on showing the dog(s) in confirmation to prove that they is a breeding quality specimen?
- Has the dog been CERF and OFA to ensure you will not be passing on genetic problems?
- Have you had any breeding experience or have you found someone that is a reputable breeder to be your mentor with this?
- Are you willing to keep all the puppies if suitable homes cannot be found? If you find homes and the new owners at some point cannot care for the dog, are you willing to take it back?
- Do you realize how much it will cost? If you do things right, even if you sell the puppies for $1000 each, you will likely still be ';in the hole';.
.Why is ~Jordan S~ so rude to people who simply want some advice?
I didn't see your previous posts. I don't think people here are rude. Maybe they are giving you an honest answer. You have to realize one fact that animal overpopulation is a problem in this country, especially mutts. Your cockerpoo is a mutt and you want to breed more mutts. That means that more shelter dogs have less chances being adopted. It's heartbroken to see dogs being euthanized every year because shelters run out of spaces. If you love dogs, I'm sure you don't want to see this happened.
She may be a pro breeder so she wants to know how you are taking care of the dog and making sure you do it right. Some people are just that way.
because what you are doing is wrong. no mutt should be breed, and that is what your dog is.. if you want us off your back, get your dog fixed and be done with it.. i know your dog will be better off, she will live longer, be happier, and healthier! because shes not fixed her life will be miserable. what a nice parent you are...
http://www.pbs.org/wnet/nature/dogs/owni鈥?/a>
http://www.roverrescue.com/page/about/ro鈥?/a>
In Shelters there is 30% Pure Bred dogs that are up for
adoption
In dog Shelters there are 100 dogs being put down everyday.
That in in the LA area.
People have opinions and they have the right to give theirs.
So the above links are my opinion but it is told in a different way.
Because you SHOULDN'T be breeding your cockapoo. Learn to take some advice.
I agree with you about these rude people, its rediculous, I personally don't like most purebred dogs, I like the mixed breeds, I have a Pure golden retriever and pure mini schnauzer, but I also have a yorkie-poo and a shepard/husky and I prefer the mixed breed ones, I dont care if shes a pro breeder or not shes a plain old ****** simply. I ask for advice on here not criticism, if thats how this whole site is it should no longer be called yahoo ANSWERS it should be Yahoo ';youre an idiot and shouldnt be allowed to know answers to you questions because I already know it and I'm better than you'; ....well anyway I'm glad someone else feels the same way. I posted a question because my shepardhusky accidentaly got pregnant and then these pro breeders and whatnot are telling me to go get her fixed now?! yeah sounds good I'm TOTALLY into dog abortion. %26gt;:O
because what they r saying is true a ';cockapoo'; isnt a breed of dog a ';cockapoo'; is a mutt plain and simple. mutts should NEVER be bred. no responsible breeder breeds mutts intentionally. u find very few purebreds who r breeding quality. so how can ur mutt be breeding quality. u need to realize that ur dog is in fact a mutt. once u do that then u will know that what they r saying is true
She's not rude, she's honest and informed. We get tired of people like you pumping out mutt puppies that are only going to end up in a shelter and killed. If your breeding your dog you are a backyard breeder. Which makes you either uneducated or immoral. Obviously you've been told the truth about breeding your dog and why you shouldn't so your not uneducated so that only leaves you to being a jerk.
Since you obviously dont care about anything other than making money. And you dont care whether the little mutts you produce end up in a shelter and die, people like Jordan S and I and others get annoyed.
I have seen Jordan S around.. I can't specifically say that I remember answers.. but I don't remember thinking that Jordan S was rude.. Which questions are you referring too?? Or you are mad cause your dog is a mixed breed dog and people told you to spay/neuter rather than produce more mutts??
Instead of whining about someone being ';rude'; to you how about educating yourself about the pet overpopulation problem?
Go spend some time at your local shelter and look at all the puppies and dogs there looking for home. If your dog breeds then some of those dogs will DIE. And if someone who gets one of your puppies breeds that puppy even more will DIE. Fact is, one dog and her puppies can turn into SIXTY SEVEN THOUSAND DOGS in a matter of six years.
A lot of people on here DO volunteer their time at shelters. So reading that someone like yourself with a mutt wants to breed their mutt just adds to the problem we're already dealing with. You only want to make some money off your dog and that's WRONG. Get a conscience, will you?
Do the RESPONSIBLE thing - get your dog SPAYED and stop asking questions about breeding because Jordan S isn't the only one you're pissing off.
I don't think Jordan S is rude, I think she is honest and you are mad because people have told you the truth about your dog. It is a mutt, plain and simple, and shouldn't be bred. There are plenty of mutts in any animal shelter around. If you breed your dog, you are just adding to the problem. I agree with her completely. Cockapoos, puggles, pappichis, pekepoos etc, etc, are NOT real breeds. They are just mixed breeds and should be spayed/neutered to prevent bringing more mutts into the world and adding to the shelters that carry all these dogs already. All Jordan S did was make you mad by telling you the truth. Maybe instead of trying to get people to dislike her, you should open up your eyes and listen to what she says.
She is not rude. She is just trying to impress upon you what a stupid idea it would be to breed your mutt when thousands of them are dying. You just don't want to hear the truth, like many people here who do not have their dog's best interests at heart.
Probably because there are far too many mixed breed dogs waiting to be adopted (before being put down) all over the country. Why do you feel the need to add to that population? Are you hoping to make money? That's a sad reason to take away homes from pups who need them.
Your cockapoo is a mutt. They are plentiful in shelters.
Don't breed.
I think it is more rude to call someone out on here.
Many of us feel very strongly about educating what it takes to be a responsible pet owner. Breeding a cockapoo isn't responsible. Spaying and neutering pet quality/mixed breed dogs is responsible.
I don't think there is anything wrong with breeding but I don't think a mixed breed should be breed when there are so many out there because it is basically a mutt. I am not trying to be rude this is just my personal opinion.
However, unlike others I will say its your dog and you can do what you want, just make sure that you get the test done and make sure your dog has proper vet care while pregnant. As long as your responsible that's all that really matters.
because you people test my nerves
Because she can, she has double standards like most people here.
Oh and rude to call someone out on here most of you do it on a regular basis when someone doesn't have the same opinion as you. Get over yourselves.
Cause they have nothing better to do then bash people who want to do what they want. If you want info it is best to look it up on google if you are afraid of getting bashed. I don't bash people on here that want to do stuff like that not because i agree with it cause i really don't. But beacuse people are not looking for rude people theya re looking for info and help not the critisizim of a person that probably has nothing better to do then make people feel bad. I don't ask questions i know are going to get responses from the radical spay or neuter if you don't have a show dog type of person. I look that kind of stuff up on google and or get a book on the subject and talk to the local breeders that are not Puppy mills I hate puppy mills They destroy the lives of dogs. Any way Just Ignore them that is the best way to deal with it. I Have to ingore some of the arragant comments that people leave cause if i didn't i wouldn't be on here ever.prescriptives

I Have to ingore some of the arragant comments that people leave cause if i didn't i wouldn't be on here ever.

Advice for us poor people with crutches?
I have crutches as of two days ago and will need them for a few more days. My arms are more sore than my injured foot! Do you have any advice for making walking with crutches less painful (to your arms, abs, un-injured foot)? Please help, I'm getting desperate here!Advice for us poor people with crutches?
hey crippled (she is my friend)
I think you should tell everyone around u that u will be crippled forever to get out of p.e.
Advice for everyone dont step on nails they will hurt really badly like my friend here. She stepped on some nails and no one cared about het. Hope ur foot is better nowAdvice for us poor people with crutches?
Don't use the crutches under your armpits. You are suppose to move them using your hands. I would think the Dr would have told you to take it easy and don't ';walk'; around if you don't have to. Sit down and watch TV and relax. It will be back to the same old same old soon enough.
THIS IS A SIMPLE, YOU MUST PLACE MOST OF THE WEIGHT-BEARING ON THE HANDLES USING THE ARMPIT PARTS TO STEADY THE CRUTCH. THIS WAY YOUR BODY WEIGHT WILL BE EVENLY DISTRIBUTED. THE ARMPITS CAN BEAR THE WEIGHT OF THE BODY ONLY AS YOU TRANSFER YOUR WEIGHT AS YOU STEP FORWARD.
THE REAL KEY IS TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU DISTRIBUTE YOUR WEIGHT EVENLY BETWEEN THE HAND, ARMPIT AND FOOT. ALSO BE SURE THE HEIGHT FOR YOUR STATURE IS PROPERLY ADJUSTED. PRACTICE, ALSO YOU'LL GET BETTER THE MORE YOU USE THEM. GOOD LUCK.
I just graduated to a cane not too long ago. Having a shoulder replacement compounded my problem with crutches. I found that if I put most of my weight on the hands instead of the armpits I could go for longer periods of time before I had to rest. There is no easy solution. Good luck. I'm now married to the cane for the rest of my life.
DO NOT hold the crutches under your armpits, it may seem harder to do it with your arm strength but using your under arms may cause nerve damage. Like mentioned above try not to walk if its not completely necessary. If you do need to go long distances don't be afraid to stop and take a breather if you need to. If you really get desperate and your late or something ask somebody to lend you a shoulder and then you aren't as dependent on the crutches.
Good luck
After dislocating my knee, I was on crutches for almost a week. I too was bothered under my arms. I added some sponge cushioning to the crutches and it helped...ALOT!!
Good luck and I hope your off those sooooooonnnnn!!!!!!!!!
take it easy... Don't do what you don't need to do.

I need advice from Black people or African Americans, whichever is politically correct?
Would you want someone to tell you if a white person who is of course friendly to your face but makes ';N'; jokes while you're not around? I don't know if I should tell him or just mind my own business. These are people who know each other through going to the local pub so it's not like they're best friends but I still think it's 2 faced.I need advice from Black people or African Americans, whichever is politically correct?
Black people KNOW that some whites who we work with or socialize with use such words and negative stereotypes behind our backs, it's a given, we dont necessarily know exactly WHO does this, but racists will drop their guard at one point or another, like when theyre lit up with alcohol, it's not necessary to point them out...but if you really want to turn him out, ask him to repeat one of his famous jokes while your AA friend is present, and see what happens.I need advice from Black people or African Americans, whichever is politically correct?
Most of us can already tell if someone is faking it. I don't let that change who I am though. I smile to thier face too, I just watch my back around them.
I don't know - but I think it's a good sign that you are bothered by it. Sometimes I think the only hope we have as a society is the people who are neithher a minority or majority that reject hatred.
I refuse to be politically correct. This hyphenated American stuff is male bovine excrement. Either you're an American or you're not. You can't be both. And I'd like to see these 'African-Americans' show me where they're from in Africa. What if someone was of the following ancestry: FRENCH, ITALIAN, GERMAN, SWISS, ALGERIAN, NAVAJO (old shipmate of mine was that mixture)? Can you imagine the hyphenated mess they'd have?
Come on people..if you're an American, be proud of it! SAY SO...and leave the hyphens where they belong, in the trash.
Making jokes of someone because of their ethnic make up is juvenile. The truck driver where I work used to come into our office and make comments about (4 retired Navy guys) the RICH OLD REDNECKS. He came in one day and saw me reading a book. He asked if that was 'one of those redneck books.' I told him it was a book that 'you colored boys wouldn't understand.' He never used the term REDNECK again. I guess he got my point.
By the way, I'm originally from N. Mich, Bob is from S. Mich, Tony is from upstate NY and Charlie from Chicago.
It's nice to know that you are concerned. But I'd suggest that if you do not want to be associated with a 2 faced person, then sever ties with her.
But as many have all ready stated, we know when someone is being fake, ain't keepin it real. I'd suggest either confronting her (the White woman) and asking her why she says the things she does. If you want to rat her out then rat her out! I'm sure the other woman has some idea that she's being fake and will appreciate your candor and thoughtfulness.
And forget that PC stuff, most Black folks do not use African American when they are in everyday talk, we just say Black. If you are in a convo with Blacks just say Blacks, they will repsect you more, you will be sincere and you will be keepin it real in our eyes instead of trying to be PC.
No. Confront the white person, and find out why they are fronting in front of the black person.

I'd like some advice from people who have been there about living in your car.?
My reason for this is I don't have any money saved to rent an apartment just yet. I have to move to a city to get a job. I have a 2 friends that I can sleep some nights with but don't have the room to house me everynight. (They are living 2 adults and 1 child in a studio apartment with no walls.) It's gonna get really cold where I live but have no choice. My current situation is my family lives in the middle of nowhere and I can't find any jobs here. I am going to a city a couple hours from my parents home so if I need anything they aren't far. This doesn't seem safe, sane or ideal I know but it's a last resort. P.S I'm a female under 25. I just want advice, this is what I need to do to better my life. I know people have done this for a month or so.I'd like some advice from people who have been there about living in your car.?
What you need to do is to contact the local women's shelter in the place where you are going to be moving, and see what sort of resources they have.
I would also consider contacting churches in the area, about what sort of resources they have, and the Salvation Army.
Try Covenant House as well... they would know what sort of resources are available. http://www.covenanthouse.org/
This is a REALLY dumb idea, as I'm sure you understand. Sweetheart, you are a rape (if not rape/murder) victim in the making, and if you try this without having a job lined up ahead of time... well you are setting yourself up for a career in prositution as well. You'll find yourself broke, desperate, hungry, and you'll take a job dancing in a club, or try doing tricks ';just this once';... and then it is all down hill from there.
That's if you are lucky and don't just get raped and murdered.
And you do have other choices. If you are really broke and live in a place with no jobs you can try the Army, http://www.army.mil/armylife/wellbeing/ or the Air Force, http://www.af.mil/ or the Peace Corps even.http://www.peacecorps.gov/
It would be a lot safer than what you are planning.I'd like some advice from people who have been there about living in your car.?
Stay with your parents and drive the car.
A long commute sucks, but it's better than freezing or worse.
Spend a few nights with your friends to save some gas money if you must, but don't sleep in the car.
I would normally never suggest to a woman under twenty-five to be living in her car in a city somewhere but since I have done it, I will try to give some pointers. Figure out where you are going to sleep...in your front seat, back seat, etc and make sure there is nothing around you so you can at least be comfortable. Sleeping blanket or blankets and a pillow depending on the temperature. Either find somewhere in the middle of nowhere to sleep in your car or somewhere busy like a mall or hotel parking lot so you won't be disturbed or out in front of this apartment you may be able to sleep in occasionally, depending on the neighbourhood. A source of water and some mouthwash for brushing your teeth in the morning. Some sort of protection possibly...mace, stun gun, baseball bat, whatever is legal in your area. Fully tinted windows and a window mask for the windshield would keep peekers out and the sun out in the mornings. Try to give your friends a few bucks when you get a job, tell them you appreciate them letting you shower, use the bathroom, whatever until you save enough to get your own place. I wish you luck and be careful.

He gives advice to the priests and the people of the Catholic Church.
I don't know how one can hide and yet give advice to the people and so I don't know if I'm answering your question. The Catholic pop is always hiding and give advice the people?

I need some advice about jobs for people in my wedding party?
im getting married in the summer and i want to include everyone i can, reasonably. for example..i want ALL my girlfriends and female relatives to be my bridesmaids but thats just unreasonable as my fiance will only be having 6 (maybe 7) groomsmen. SO. i was wondering if anyone had any creative, warm, inclusive ways to have everyone i want invloved without offending anyone? like alternative important jobs and such. thxI need some advice about jobs for people in my wedding party?
The girls not in the wedding could always sing or play an instrument during the ceremony or read a verse from the bible. You could put one of them in charge of getting everyone organized. Like make sure everyone is where they need to be at the right time. You could also ask them to give a speech at the reception. The possiblities are endless!I need some advice about jobs for people in my wedding party?
At my cousins wedding she had one girl that was like a bridal assistant who helped out but wasn't a bridesmaid but her fiance was in the wedding party. She was in charge of helping girls with their dresses, keeping a stash of saftey pins, bobby pins, and other things on her if the bride needed it.
You can have one attend to the guest book to welcome people and make sure they sign.
One could pass out programs and help with seating
Are you having any readings? Perhaps you can ask someone to do a reading at the church.
Someone to coordinate events at the reception like cake cutting/garter toss/when the couple arrives/first dances/coordinating the band.
People to hand out programs at the ceremony and bubbles after the ceremony.
Bride's attendants. Get some of the girls to go to your dress appointment and learn how to tie the bussle (bustle?). That's a big thing that could take 1-3 people.

How do I explain myself to people? They set their expectations too high. Any advice, comments?
Question Details: These days I'm very rational and people are constantly telling me how mature I am. I am in college. There are times when I completely lose myself and I appear immature or my age. When I have a good grip over my emotions I can bend them anyway I want. I have control over how I want people to perceive me. When I allow my emotions to take control, I lose any definition of myself. I become an existing thing that holds no shape or form. I hate when people get this great impression on me. I can only be me. Don't set your expectations to high of me. I won't allow you. I am capable of being what you hate and what you love. I don't like pressure. I can only be me.How do I explain myself to people? They set their expectations too high. Any advice, comments?
You should be proud that you are so strong about who you are. However, people make mistakes, and you should learn and grow for them.
As for explaining yourself, simply tell your friends tell your friends that you are only (whatever your age is) and that you are only human. Or, be the first one to laugh about something you did, and then your friends will have to laugh with you.
Also, I'm sure that your friends have made embarrasing mistakes in THEIR life, and they shouldn;t try to hide it, so make sure to bring that up!!!
Good luck!!!How do I explain myself to people? They set their expectations too high. Any advice, comments?
Don't explain yourself to nobody. Show people what kind of person you are. You are one person, you can only do so much to make someone smile. When you please the people you love or whoever they may be, do all you can in your power to please them.
you don't. we are all different and we tend to act as a different type of person depending the emotions we are feeling, personally i don't care if people judge me too quick because i know what i am capable of. the best way is just to be you, don't try to be someone you're not. if a person wants to know you they have to know all your sides not just one, so don't even worry about it, have fun.

Does anyone have any advice for people with fibromyalgia?
id say learn all you can about Fibromyalgia.
i was diagnosed around 1987 i know looking back as a young kid (im now in my mid 60s) that i had symptoms back then. This was in those days called ';growing pains
';
my Daughter and my younger sister also has Fms (as we call it)
You dont say if your dr diagnosed you with fms
if so im wondering if he/she tested you for other related illnesses that cause pain/sleep problems short term memory etc (the list of symptoms for fms is quiet long)but NOT all of us get ALL the symptoms were all different and one medication that helps one of us dosnt necersary help the other.
Gentle excersise is a good way to help with fms and keeping to a good diet.
Try to avoid to much sugar (Aspertame im told is a no no for fms patients.
if you pace yourself each day and dont overdo to much your pain level should be lower.
There are many medications you can get to help.
i find using heat helps me (heating pad etc) and soaking in the tub.
When the pain is very bad you may try putting a blanket(preferably cotton)in the dryer and wrap it around your self.
There are a great many people with fms millions in USA %26amp; Canada alone not to mention other countries.
A Rhuematologist id say is the best Dr.for you to get help.Does anyone have any advice for people with fibromyalgia?
My arithritis doctor diagnosed me last month with fibromyalgia. Of course, I know they still don't know much about the disease, but I feel like I finally know why my entire body has hurt so bad for so many years. I also have osteoarithritis and believe me that does not help! My doctor gave me a prescription of Lyrica. I have been taking it for about one month and I believe it is helping a little. I am so used to chronic pain and what is so terrible is all the doctors I have been to and finally my new doctor last month told me that was what I have. I take Lortabs and Ativan, but not to much touches the kind of pain you have with fibromyalgia.
My doctor is a reumatologist, so maybe you should see that kind of doctor. Good luck to you AND ME!!!Does anyone have any advice for people with fibromyalgia?
yep, get up and excersise! Somehow three of my sisters have been diagnosed with this, they are all young and built great, and now on many medications? whatever, Doctors are too quick to label everybody, and everybody wants a label? I dont get it. I know you ache, I do too when its winter, because I get lazier. My sisters were fine until they got stressed or lost a job, or no longer walked 20 flights of stairs each day to their office instead of the elevator. From watching them and their life, I noticed first they had a traumatic event in their life, then they lost a job, then got stuck at home a lot and no longer excercised. There might be a link there, this is what I have observed. THere has to be a better way than being on all that medication.
A positive attitude goes a long way with any illness, and FM is no different. Stress also plays a HUGE part. Learn all you can about your illness.

I've read a lot of it is stress related. Look up information on stress relief.
Hi I was diagnosed with fibro around six years ago but I had pain for several years before. I was told that a gall bladder surg ery in which they cut nerves caused trauma that triggered the fibro. The pain clinics the hospital sent me to were only interested in keeping me on 24 hour pain meds but I realized with fibro you have bad days and worse days. I wanted to be able to judge my pain levels myself so I found a arthritis Dr. who understood that I didn't want to stay drugged up my whole life and he lets me choose when to take pain meds and when I dint need to. Fibro is a hard disease to deal with it affects so much of your life, but I have decided not to let it rule any more than I have to. Until I retired last year I worked twelve hour days in retail and made myself get up wether I felt like it or not.Even now I sub at the school and walk my dog at least twenty minutes a day.Sometimes you think you just cant do it but you have to take yourself up and do what you have to do. hope this helps Linda
allo go on the site fibromyalgia-kent-uk its run by sarah and they explain every symptom and almost everything u need to no,i had trouble for years and going on there helped so much, plus once u join as i have there are so many normal people on there who suffer fms and almost all symptoms who help hope this has helped x
I suffer from it. I eat a very small mostly vegan meal, 5 times a day. Drink lots of green tea and stay away from anything refined, like sugars, flour, etc and no dairy.
I also take Neurontin and see my doctors every 3 months or so.
I exercise by walking (when I can) about 3 miles a day.
I try to sleep and nap during the day if I can.
Keeping a positive outlook and seeking comfort in support of friends and family or even a local group is a good thing.
Hope all goes well for you.
This is a very complicated disorder and can not be given the respect it deserves in this format. The first thing I would suggest is learn everything you can about the different body systems it affects and then read everything you can about how to treat those problems. It took me literally years to even begin to understand the information available to us from research.
Here is a link to one of the best places on the Internet to read all the different fibromyalgia researchers articles and treatment plans from top fibromyalgia doctors. You will find that fibromyalgia is very complicated and is compounded by the lack of respect from the public in general and those in the medical field who haven't bothered to actually read any current research.

I have used a site called National Fibromyalgia Association. You can sign up for a e-mail newsletter from them. Their site also contains helpful information. You need to be diagnosed by a rheumatologist, but mine wouldn't treat me after diagnosis. Then good luck finding a doctor who knows enough about it to treat you. Look for some one who specializes in it. If you can find someone you may get better care because he/she will know the medicines. Diet, exercise, vitamins, keeping yourself healthy, and I believe mind, spirit and body connect has alot to do with level of pain. If you constantly think i'm in pain, you will be. Try to do yoga. It is non-stressfull exercise that is good for the body that can be done at your level of tolerance and try to control pain with meditation (I know this sound hokey, it did to me too) but I'm off my percocets. Good Luck. Education is the Key.
i was diagnosed around 1987 i know looking back as a young kid (im now in my mid 60s) that i had symptoms back then. This was in those days called ';growing pains
';
my Daughter and my younger sister also has Fms (as we call it)
You dont say if your dr diagnosed you with fms
if so im wondering if he/she tested you for other related illnesses that cause pain/sleep problems short term memory etc (the list of symptoms for fms is quiet long)but NOT all of us get ALL the symptoms were all different and one medication that helps one of us dosnt necersary help the other.

Advice from people who have been/are on Accutane?
I have extremely mild acne as I have been religiously taking EXTREME care of my face for the past couple of months. However, my face is still VERY oily. I used to have VERY BAD acne (even my teachers and friends commented) in the past, probably because I did not take good care of my face.
However, currently, I have just like a couple of teenie weenie bumps on my face, and with, of course, red marks (scars) from my terrible past. I went to my doctor few days back and she prescribed me Isotretinion (Accutane). I was previously on antibiotics (doxycycline) for like 8 months already.
My questions are:
1.Will my skin get really that dry as everyone is saying?
2.Should I avoid the sun as much as possible?
3.Any other things I should take note?
Thanks for taking your time to answer.Advice from people who have been/are on Accutane?
Isotretinoin is used to treat severe recalcitrant nodular acne (a certain type of severe acne) that has not been helped by other treatments, such as antibiotics. Isotretinoin is in a class of medications called retinoids. It works by slowing the production of certain natural substances that can cause pimples to form.
Please see the web pages for more details on Isotretinoin (generic name) Accutane (brand name).

If your next job was giving advice to people, who is the first person you would like to give advice ?
If i was wise enough to give advices,i'd have kept some for myself. If your next job was giving advice to people, who is the first person you would like to give advice ?

My wife.
1- I would not take such a job.
2- I do not want to lead, but neither will I follow
Myself
If I were guaranteed they'd take the advice and put it to practioce...I could name a few people.
Myself , Go and find another job.
Assuming I can't advice myself (which I need a lot from time to time), I would sit Ertugrul Ozkok in front of me and tell him how supporting liberal policies against social ones is damaging the social atmosphere. Privatize education and healthcare? Who in his right mind would support THAT?
If mainstream media didn't support AKP this much in the beginning, I don't think they would be so vain now. They have learnt better, but (singing along with Queen) it's late, it's late, it's late, it's late, but not too late!
I agree with Musicman, Bush needs some good advice. He has been making decisions that are bad for the people of the world. I am sure that his rich friends are happy with his choices.
1. To people I love, like my dad, my cousins, friends, etc., to stop smoking.
2. To craftsmen, building owners, etc., on how to properly conserve historic buildings (as a matter of fact this IS my job, lol).
Only the people who really want it. No one else will even listen.
me myself and I cause I definitely need it lolz :))
I would go with Bush too! Too many people have suffered because of him and still are and even some of my friends who really have nothing to do with 9/11! But he doesn't seem to realize to what extent he made the whole world suffer!
Trust me even if you give advise to ppl nothing is gonna change if they are stubborn with a huge head,no matter how many times u give advise to ppl if their not willing to change or even listen what u have to say, than why waste my time on them, stuff them, ive been there, its like if u shake a bottle of water for hours, days, weeks, months, years,
what do u get at the end? WATER,and thats my point!
Nicola Sarcosi. Haven't we all had enough of his weird ideas and behaviour?

I would have a chat with George Bush!!

I have someone in mind... Who? Take a wild guess...

Are people asking objective/non-advice questions on Yahoo that ignorant?
The questions that could be answered by a simple Google or Wiki search just irritate me! Have we let loose an entire generation of idiots onto the 'net that can't search for an answer themselves? And what does this bode for humanity?
Remember, ignorance is curable. Willful ignorance is just stupid. Are people asking objective/non-advice questions on Yahoo that ignorant?
The ignorant ones do not ask any questions. The smart ones find the answers./prescriptives

I need some help with earning credit asap, advice or tips or maybe just a good site for people like me?
I am currently 17 years old, is it possible for me to start earning credit now? Probably not, right? Well, when I hit 18 in September I wanna earn good credit as soon as I can because the housing I am looking at requires good credit, Im not sure how to go about it? I'm looking for advice on the fastest possible way to earn good credit. Thanks for any answers...I need some help with earning credit asap, advice or tips or maybe just a good site for people like me?
No, you really can't earn credit until you're 18. Once you turn 18, you can apply for a Capital One card--they often approve first-timers. If they turn you down, you can apply for a secured credit card like Orchard Bank. Use the card regularly by charging only small amounts on it and paying it off in the same month. *Never* use more than 30% of the available balance on a credit card at any given time, even if you pay it off in the same month.I need some help with earning credit asap, advice or tips or maybe just a good site for people like me?
Here are a few ways how you can improve your credit rating.
1)Make Payments on Time~If you want to build and maintain your credit rating, pay your bills on time and don't miss any payments. If you have missed payments in the past, get back on track. Your recent payment history counts more than ancient history.
2)Pay Off Your Debt~Don't transfer it all to a credit card and then transfer it from card to card to card. Financial experts recommend keeping your account balances less than 50% of your available credit. It shows that you have the ability to pay back your debt.
3)Establish Credit History~Your credit rating is established partially on your credit history. Your credit history is based on the nformation that your creditors have reported to credit bureaus, including credit cards, loans, and even some utility bills.
4)Don't Apply for or Take on Too Many Credit Cards~Having and using a credit card wisely can be beneficial to your credit rating. However, if you're constantly applying for new credit cards, it can hurt your rating, especially if you're getting turned down for them.

Do people on here know how to give good advice?
It's hard to believe everybody on here gives good advice. How many people have receive excellent answers to their questions or where looking for advice and received it?Do people on here know how to give good advice?
Yes, most people are good at giving advice here, and so are you if you had the experience with it.Do people on here know how to give good advice?
I would say that there is usually at least one solid answer to most questions on here that generate at least 5 or so responses. Most people, however, enjoy using this forum for the ';humor'; of giving stupid answers or harassing other people. It's not always the answerers' fault, though, as a lot of questions are pointless, mean-spirited, or bad jokes themselves. Y! Answers would be a much more valuable resource if people stopped abusing it, on both sides of the q/a.
Some people give good advice. Some are just playing around. Some like to harass with their answers. I've been contacted directly by quite a few people thanking me for my answers; helping them understand why they are struggling with life; helping them life in the present instead of torturing themselves about the past or obsessing over the future.
I totally know what you mean! A lot of answers that people give your like ';well...duh!'; or like ';...???'; and stuff. I don't even like to question people any more because a lot of the time they aren't helpful. They just make fun of your question or make fun of your life of which you are asking for some direction on. It is plain stupid how people can't be a little considerate of others. I mean if we needed them to be saying crap we would be like ';post pointless stuff here!'; which we don't because we actually need useful help! Although I have had the occasional answer that is quality, but I don't agree with it...so kinda pointless. But yea...there are the odd people that can answer good! :)
I don't ask many questions, but I have gotten some helpful answers. Majority are not helpful though. They are mean-spirited and nasty. It really bothers me, so I just don't ask. I look up things for myself.
Sometimes you get good advice but really you need to find the answers to your problems yourself if they are emotional etc. It is easier to get good advice on practical matters and so on.
it depends on your question like if you ask about politics and laws you would get rely good answers
if you ask about religion you would get good answers
if its a smart question you will get smart answers
Many people may take this as a joke but i think in order to recieve good answers you need to give good answers. I apologize on behalf of everyone thats giving bad advice.

Hello and Happy New Year, for me it is the ones that ask questions about having sex. Some want to others are being pushed and are scare, and it breaks my heart because some answers given to the young are from the young and telling them to go ahead I mostly stay in this forum because of this I can not get them all but I would surly like to they are so vulnerable, and need to be loved and this is the way they think they can get it.My kids are grown and they always came to me even if it was embarrassing for them they wrote it on paper. :) I love doing this I take them to bed with me in my prayers and when they answer back and say thanks that really helped me or now I understand, then my heart smiles and tears sometime come you know that feeling God gave us when we help someone ? That's a blessing in it self so I will be here long as I can trying to save our kids.

Are there any dentists or oral health people online, could do with your advice urgently?
ok my gums are shrinking, ive noticed my teeth elongating, they sometimes bleed when i brush my teeth, i think its gum disease, is there anyway i can treat them, i use mouth wash daily, i really dont want to lose my teeth! im really worried, and im booking a trip to the dentist tomorrow..
what could happen if i dont go to the dentist? Are there any dentists or oral health people online, could do with your advice urgently?
No, you cannot treat it on your own. There is no cure. You doctor can control it. You doctor will give you a deep cleaning and prescribe a mouthwash. And you may have to go in for cleaning more often, every 3-4 months. Use soft bristle brushes from now on. I switched to a Sonicare, more plaque out but less ';scrubing'; effort. Floss, floss, floss. Even if it bleeds. It is very common so there are treatments your doctor can use. Brushes only brush the top of the teeth and barely reach below the gumline which is why reg cleanings are very important. If you do not get it taken care of, you move on to the next stage of gum disease. Severely swollen gums, teeth moved because of the gums, deep space in between teeth where more plaque can collect and eventually tooth loss. Or gum surgery to save your teeth. The good thing is if you caught it early then it can be controlled. Your doctor is trained to handle these and they see it all the time. So be confident they'll give you the best possible treatment. Ask as many questions as you can, I even asked for a training on how to brush my teeth correctly. Good luck! Are there any dentists or oral health people online, could do with your advice urgently?
Get into the dentist!
You also need a soft bristle brush as over brushing and harsh bristles cause the gums to recede more.
I would also recomend rinsing with hydrogen peroxide for 5 minutes a night. It might tingle and takes awhile to rinse out but worth the clean!
If it is in fact periodontal disease, you CAN NOT treat it at home. Periodontal disease has no cure. There are only treatments to keep it from getting worse. The only approved procedure to regrow bone that you have lost is called a Periolase. It is very expensive, but NOTHING else will regrow bone lost by periodontal disease.
Sorry, but you really do need to go to your dentist. Gums are not suppose to bleed when you brush them. That is not healthy. If you do nothing or try to resolve the problem at home, you will probably end up starting to loose your teeth within the next 10 yrs or so.
as we age our gums do tend to shrink making our teeth look longer. BE SURE TO FLOSS 2 times a day as well as brush. Your dentist may recommend that you see a periodontist. Follow his or her advice! It is worth everything to keep your teeth.
I had this same problem for years, it cost me approx 5 thousand dollars.I have had to had bonding and a root canal. Since I had all the work done, I have remained vigilant in dental care. But my gums do not bleed any more and my teeth are in great shape! Good Luck!
Note: if you are only 18 and you are having these problems I strongly urge you to get to the dentist and keep all appointments. My perio told me our teeth should last a lifetime (one of my neighbors is 86 and she has ALL her teeth still)...Again, Good Luck to you!
I'm no dentist so if it were me I'd go to the dentist and until you do stop using the mouth wash and use salted water, I was told at the hospital that some of the mouth washes can irritate as there are lots of chemicals, if the dentist gives you some then it's OK only till you go and see him, which you should then stop be careful you could be doing more harm than good. Good luck
glad you have asked that because i have noticed that on two of my teeth x
Sounds like you have perio, you need professional cleaning to stop any further damage, you need to floss and keep teeth exceptionally clean other wise you will lose them.
I'm no dentist but it sounds like you have receding gums, my sister-in-law has the same

i like helping people and i wouldn't mind getting paid to help people. i did not not want something like ask me a question. i want to help people with a problem or maybe they are stuck in a situation and do not know what to do so i would like to help people with there problems. does anyone know a website i could do that online and get paid for it? thanksDoes anyone know a way i can make money online giving people advice on their problems? ?
What makes you qualified to help people? People go to school for that - they get doctorates: MDs and PhDs. You don't even know the difference between ';their'; and ';there';. Why would anyone pay you? No qualifications? No way.

Taking photos of people advice?
Just got a canon 450dSLR camera, can anyone offer me any tips on how to take good face/portrait photography?
Thank you xxTaking photos of people advice?
Hi Mitzi. I am surprised no one is trying to answer this question. Maybe I can help. So you are going to be the photographer and are trying to learn to make the photos look professional? Follow steps should help.
1. Set the camera up on a tripod if possible because you
are going to want to work with your subject.. go over to
them and fix hair or collar or whatever.
2. Because you don't have a professional lighting set up,
take the portraits out of doors in indirect lighting... under
a tree or awning or porch or something that is shady.
3. Have the person stand at a45 degree angle to the camera
and turn their head toward you. You do not want a straight
on body and head... as that tends to look like a Mug Shot.
4. Stand about 8 -12 feet away from your subject and try to
zoom in only on the face and neck.
5. Use flash
6. Set your camera to Program Mode. Set White Balance to
the Cloudy Icon and take a pic and check. Then set the
WB to the Flash Icon and take a pic and check. Set the
ISO to 100 or to 200... Use any or all of these combos
and take a picture and check it out. You will have to do a
trial and error as the lighting and color temperature will have effects on each picture.
7. As you are taking the pictures, have friendly chit-chat with your subject to keep him/her at ease.
Try these steps to begin with... and then work out new adjustments as you go along. YOU HAVE a very nice camera. I believe it will give you excellent portrait results.
GOOD LUCK ad have fun shooting.prescriptives

Here is a letter I currently sent to ';The Big Idea'; w/Donny Deutsch...what is Yahoo people's advice...
I have several ideas that I get very excited about. Then, when I begin researching and figuring out how to make it happen, I get discouraged. It seems that I LOVE improving and inventing things, but not the process of making it a reality...at least a large portion of it. Should I stick it out and get it done and risk being unhappy for an unknown portion of the time or find someone to do something with the ideas for me? If so, whom? Here is a letter I currently sent to ';The Big Idea'; w/Donny Deutsch...what is Yahoo people's advice...
To me, the only way that your ideas will be heard or be considered as meritorious is if you develop a working prototype which functions successfully at the elemental level.
Ideas are a dime a dozen. Working prototypes create the interest needed for an idea to get off the ground.

Why do people feel the need to give advice?
Let me clarify this question:
Why would a person give someone advice on something they have not solved themselves?
For example: If you are not good at math, and someone is telling you about a math problem they are struggling with in the same level, why would you give them advice on how to solve it when your own problem isn't solved? Seems to me that the advice would not be a very dependable resource. Wouldn't you think? Why do people feel the need to give advice?
The questioner seems to share one of my Yahoo demons!
My theories:
First off, here is a supposed Chinese saying, taken from a Guinness Stout ad…
“Those who know little – talk much.
Those who know much – talk little.”
Next:
Information compulsion…
This seems to be a hard-wired (negative, to me) human trait.
Why else do friends and criminals end up selling each other off? This thing feels as good as money – information compulsion!
Preaching culture:
OK, my country is not a religious country. We preach about different things.
Anyway…seeing the amount of preaching that goes on in the media and the Net, I reckon your country could very well accept preaching as an ordinary part of life. Am I right?
Students, children and teens:
I do not mean to offend the young, but I did find a research article that showed that teens have this great natural ability to theorize about things they have never experienced themselves, or put to the test.
The Yahoo Q %26amp; A reason:
Need I even say it out? You are intelligent. You'd know this one. It is something you can count!
I really hope you find your answers. Then again, on the other hand, I would also shudder to know what they are!Why do people feel the need to give advice?
each person has his own reasons, It could be good reasons such as:
don't want other people to suffer what you had to.
because you think that your advice could effect other people lifes in a good way.
or it could be bad reasons such as:
to make people think that you are good or intelligent person,
and recently I've discovered a new type of advices, which comes from people who just want to talk and do not think of the consequences of their advices (just omit this kind of advices)
Great question!
';It depends,'; is my sincere answer.
I believe that ';advice-giving'; (good, bad, or otherwise) is rather second-nature to our natural penchant for socialization. That is, as most of us go about the daily routine, we (unconsciously to a degree) engage others in a variety of situations and circumstances ... often those intersections where we cross paths with another are moments of sharing anyhing from confidential information to conundrums.
With that assumption, it then seems likely there are those who have no legitimate (expertise) reason for offering advice but do so (whether the advice is solicited or not) because of some urge (I believe psychological) to assert a position ... be it power or dominance, caring (feigned or real), or even masking an insecurity (low self-esteem, self-doubt, loathing, and the like).
It seems reasonable that if a person is giving advice when s/he truly doesn't know the subject matter, then another set of expectations is at play (akin to a hidden agenda). At the same time, it's my view that, depending on the individual's psychological grounding and the intensity of the urge to offer this advice (even if there is no credible basis for providing it), the individual may be engaging this advice-giving without even realizing it. At that level, I believe, there's probably ';unresolved issues.';
However, on the other hand, with 6.6 billion of us roaming the planet, there's bound to be a substantial number of advice-givers that are simply *******.
Because they themselves aren't any Good at taking it / acting upon advice that they have been given, and feel that they don't need any themselves, therefor, as they think that they are always right, well nearly most of the time, they are better giving it, then receiving it...
I think there are many reasons for this such as sincerely wanting to help someone; to feel needed; to keep someone from making the same mistake you did; or even just plain arrogance and a ';I know it all'; attitude. These are just a few of what I'm sure everyone could come up with.
Hope you find out, I'm coming back to see what comes in. I don't think it is to make one feel better.
It may more related to the saying about computers, garbage in garbage out.
Kind of like the Priest giving lessons on child rearing and marriage, just doesn't follow but there it is.
That is because it makes people feel better for not solving their own problems
They think that ur dumb and you ask for an advice.

Why do people give a negative when you are the expert and giving good advice?
I don't get it, is it an ego thing? Why do people give a negative when you are the expert and giving good advice?
Some users simply don't like your answer, others hope by giving you a thumb down they might have a better chance to recieve a BA, and then there are those trolls who give thumbs down randomly - just because they think it's funny to aggrevate other users. Why do people give a negative when you are the expert and giving good advice?
Anytime - greetings from Germany...
hewww....the same thing happens to me too....
I don't want to tear down your cathedral, but maybe even experts can get it wrong sometimes? Or is that blasphemy?
Maybe you should just lighten up a little (in this particular case, for I don't know how light-hearted you slide through the rest of your life...)? ;))
Social interactions are funny (odd) things. The situation makes a big difference. Usually in my experience from both sides of that situation is that either the expert is not recognized as such by the listener, or the information is presented poorly. People tend to dislike being preached at, no matter what the subject.
And sometimes people disagree in a way that indicates they want to learn more, where they are presenting the arguments that they see as important in making it dfficult for them to accept the ideas presented by the expert. Do not imagine that just because you are an expert that you cannot learn from your discussion with non-experts. And don't imagine that just because they are not expert, that they cannot understand why you support your views (the reason you think what you do).
As for the absence of recognition of expertise, the history of the relationship is usually important. Older siblings or peers that you have known since forever tend to think of you in the way that you once were and may think of you in a subordinate social position that precludes your being an expert in areas that they are not. Strangers may be unaware of your extensive knowledge in the subject unless you are introduced to them as an expert.
And finally, even experts can be wrong. Happens all the time.
It's not really negative--A good answer will give the pros and cons of an issue and let the asker do some thing as to which way to go. nothing is really black or white but the gray areas in the middle is vthe part that must be concidered as the best course in that situation. Be thankful you get both views of a solution.everyone needs the opportunity to have thoughts on the final outcome.--You get pros and cons and allowed to participate in the answer--who can you blame if it's not the best answer. no-one--but you feel good you covered the bases for ethical proplem solving
They're just mean and don't like spreading the love :(

a position of superiority/authority. I am also a great articulate persuasive speaker. I want to study psychology, do you think that I should get pursue it based on what I described? And what other things should I pursue based on what I described?I have a niche for motivating people, helping people solve their problems, giving people advice %26amp; being in...?

If you could humble yourself, and discover a much greater notion to serve than to command, to make people's life better, and improve their harmony with their inner selves, their spirit, and the Gods, you should definitely try priesthood (in whatever religion you do practice. Anyway, please, please, pleeease, consider Heathenry if you feel you have a knack for blessing people's lifes).
If your will to command is greater than your will to serve, and it can't be changed, I'd say try motivational speaking or politics.
Just become an American politician. Many of them have those qualities and always want to be in a position of superiority and authority. Psychology is probably the better route.
If you're really into psychology, go for it, but from what I saw you would make a good political speechwriter. As long as you wouldn't object to having to lie all the time:-)

People trying to talk me out of becoming a cop, any advice?
I am in a very rewarding and flexible career right now. I do cancer research but I really want to become a cop but friends are trying to talk me out of it by saying things like ';Think about your wife and kids'; and ';you could get shot'; or saying things that would promote fear in someones heart, I don't fear but all they said has got me thinking, any advice out there?People trying to talk me out of becoming a cop, any advice?
It is a wise person who sits down and calculates the cost. In other words, before making such a radical career change, try to look at every angle possible before making a final decision. Examine your heart and KNOW WHY you want to be a police officer, and be honest with yourself.
Look at the pros and the cons. Talk to people in the field of law enforcement and try to get as realistic a picture as you can.
You didn't mention your wife's take on it...what are her thoughts and concerns?
And YES, you better look at the possibility of your kids being without a father. Not to be a fear monger, but it's very possible to be killed in that line of work, perhaps as much or more so than being in the military. You absolutely MUST think about that and include it in your decision making process.
I wish you well, and that you will make the best choice for yourself and your family, whatever that may be.People trying to talk me out of becoming a cop, any advice?
Ask yourself if those are their fears or your fears? Be honest with this answer. The universe always gives us our life in a mirror. If we don't see it in ourselves then the Universe will give it to us in some other form so we stop and pay attention. once you figure out who's fear it is then decide to live your life the way you want it to be lived...
Don't let others fears affect your choices. Relax and take a deep breath and decide why you want to do this.
Then seek out your local law enforcement agency and go on a ride along or a few of them. Ask to interview a LT or Capt and see what they say about it. Check out the academy you'll have to go into to see what you are actually going to have to prepare for and go through.
Life is about doing what you want and trusting that things will work out for the best no matter what happens.
If you interested in learning the secrets behind getting this dream job here's a chapter from by book that will show you the way. http://nolanberentis.com/gratitude/
